Building Community since 2008.

The Lakes Area Community Center (LACC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization started in April of 2008 to establish a community center for the benefit of the people of the greater Battle Lake area.

​

In January 2022, due to the ongoing maintenance and cost of the building at 112 W Main Street, the LACC decided that the best way to move forward and continue operations was to sell the space that they've called home.

​

Recently, focus shifted from pursuing our own dedicate space, to leverage existing space in the community - keeping our focus and dollars on bringing free and low-cost events to the area. 

​

We will continue to serve our community through events such as summer turtle races, coordinating the Wenonga Days activities, the Jack-o-Lantern Jubilee, and the Farmers Market. We will also continue our business promotional events with the "Hunt is On" and "Hop into Spring" incentives to help our local businesses thrive during the off season.
